Affirmative sentences in Spanish Present Progressive

The basic formula is straightforward: (Subject) + estar + gerundio. Remember that in Spanish, the subject pronoun is often dropped because the conjugation of the verb estar (estoy, estás, está...) already tells us who is performing the action.

  • Example: (El perro) está durmiendo en el sofá.
  • Example: (Nosotros) estamos cocinando una pizza.
