El mes pasado viajé a Barcelona con mis amigas. Fue nuestro primer viaje juntas y estábamos muy ilusionadas.
Tomamos un avión desde Madrid y llegamos al aeropuerto de El Prat en una hora. Allí cogimos un taxi que nos llevó al hotel que habíamos reservado por Internet. Era un hotel de tres estrellas, muy céntrico y acogedor.
El primer día decidimos explorar la ciudad a pie. Visitamos la famosa Sagrada Familia, una impresionante obra de arte de Gaudí que todavía está en construcción. Después fuimos al Parque Güell, otro lugar lleno de encanto y fantasía. Allí disfrutamos de las vistas panorámicas de la ciudad y nos hicimos muchas fotos. Por la tarde paseamos por el barrio gótico, el más antiguo y emblemático de Barcelona. Algunos de los lugares que vimos fueron la Catedral de Barcelona y la Plaza del Rey. Por la noche fuimos a un restaurante y probamos un plato típico de la cocina catalana, la escalivada. ¡Estaba deliciosa!
El segundo día alquilamos unas bicicletas y recorrimos el Paseo Marítimo de Barcelona. Nos encantó ver el contraste entre el mar y los edificios modernos. Llegamos hasta el puerto olímpico, donde había mucha gente y ambiente. Después fuimos a la playa de la Barceloneta, una de las más populares y animadas. Allí nos bañamos en el agua, tomamos el sol y jugamos al voleibol. Por la tarde visitamos el Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña y, por la noche, fuimos a un bar y nos divertimos mucho.
El tercer día fuimos a Montjuïc. Allí visitamos el Castillo y la Fuente Mágica de Montjuïc, que en ocasiones ofrece un espectáculo de luces y música. Por la tarde fuimos a Pueblo Español, un museo al aire libre con edificios que representan las distintas comunidades de España. Allí vimos la artesanía, la gastronomía y la cultura de cada región. Por la noche fuimos al Teatro del Liceo, el más famoso de Barcelona, y vimos una ópera.
El cuarto día fuimos a la Basílica de Santa María del Mar, una joya del gótico catalán. Después fuimos al Mercado de La Boquería, el más grande y colorido de la ciudad. Allí compramos fruta, queso, chocolate y frutos secos. Luego fuimos a La Rambla, el paseo más famoso y concurrido de Barcelona. Allí vimos a los artistas callejeros, las flores, los quioscos y las estatuas vivientes. Por la tarde fuimos al Barrio de Gràcia, un barrio bohemio y alternativo. Las calles estaban decoradas por la celebración de la Fiesta Mayor de Gracia.
A la mañana siguiente fuimos al Parque de la Ciutadella, el parque urbano más grande de Barcelona. Es un parque precioso. Después fuimos al Arco de Triunfo, un monumento que conmemora la Exposición Universal de Barcelona de 1888. Por la tarde fuimos al Camp Nou, el estadio del Fútbol Club Barcelona. Allí hicimos un tour por el museo, el vestuario, el campo y el palco. Por la noche fuimos a un bar en el centro de la ciudad que nos encantó.
El sexto y último día hicimos las maletas y dejamos el hotel. Fuimos al aeropuerto en taxi y tomamos el avión de vuelta a Madrid. Fue un viaje inolvidable, lleno de experiencias y recuerdos. Barcelona es una ciudad maravillosa que tiene de todo: arte, cultura, historia, naturaleza, playa, gastronomía y diversión. Sin duda, volveremos algún día.

Trip to Barcelona
Last month I traveled to Barcelona with my friends. It was our first trip together, and we were very excited.
We took a plane from Madrid and arrived at El Prat airport within an hour. From there, we caught a taxi to the hotel we had booked online. It was a three-star hotel, very centrally located and cozy.
On the first day, we decided to explore the city on foot. We visited the famous Sagrada Familia, an impressive work of art by Gaudí that is still under construction. Later, we went to Park Güell, another charming and fantastical place. There, we enjoyed panoramic views of the city and took many photos. In the afternoon, we strolled through the Gothic Quarter, the oldest and most emblematic area of Barcelona. Some of the places we saw were the Barcelona Cathedral and the Plaza del Rey. In the evening, we went to a restaurant and tried a typical Catalan dish, the escalivada. It was delicious!
On the second day, we rented bicycles and rode along the Barcelona Waterfront. We loved seeing the contrast between the sea and the modern buildings. We reached the Olympic Port, where there was a lot of people and activity. Afterward, we went to Barceloneta Beach, one of the most popular and lively beaches. There, we swam in the water, sunbathed and played volleyball. In the afternoon, we visited the National Art Museum of Catalonia, and at night, we went to a bar and had a great time.
On the third day, we went to Montjuïc. There, we visited the Castle and the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, which sometimes offers a light and music show. In the afternoon, we went to Pueblo Español, an open-air museum with buildings representing different Spanish communities. There, we saw the craftsmanship, gastronomy and culture of each region. In the evening, we went to the Liceu Theater, the most famous in Barcelona, and watched an opera.
On the fourth day, we went to the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar, a gem of Catalan Gothic architecture. Then we visited La Boquería Market, the largest and most colorful in the city. There we bought fruit, cheese, chocolate and nuts. Later, we went to La Rambla, the most famous and crowded promenade in Barcelona. There we saw street artists, flowers, kiosks and living statues. In the afternoon, we went to the Gràcia neighborhood, a bohemian and alternative area. The streets were decorated for the Gracia Festival.
The next morning, we went to Ciutadella Park, the largest urban park in Barcelona. It’s a beautiful park. Later, we visited the Arco de Triunfo, a monument commemorating the 1888 Barcelona Universal Exposition. In the afternoon, we went to Camp Nou, the stadium of FC Barcelona. There we toured the museum, the locker room, the field and the box. In the evening we went to a bar in the city center that we loved.
On the sixth and final day, we packed our bags and checked out of the hotel. We took a taxi to the airport and caught the flight back to Madrid. It was an unforgettable trip, full of experiences and memories. Barcelona is a wonderful city that has it all: art, culture, history, nature, beach, gastronomy and entertainment. We will definitely come back someday.
