Do you want to practice vocabulary about nationalities in Spanish in an easy and effective way? Then don’t hesitate to do the Guess the nationality in Spanish Game, in which you have to choose the correct nationality of each person according to some clues and pictures.

In this activity you will see pictures of people who are close to a monument or famous place in their country and also a note in which they say something they like about their country (you can also listen to it by clicking on the play button in the top left-hand corner).
Taking these two elements into account, you have to choose the correct nationality from the four available options on the right side. Each correct nationality gives one point for a total of five points. If you don’t get it right, no points are awarded.

Welcome to an entertaining Spanish gender challenge: Is it a masculine or a feminine noun in Spanish? is a simple game that will help you practice identifying the gender of Spanish nouns.

How to play:

  • You’ll see a Spanish noun with a definite article at the top of the screen, along with an image of the object.
  • There are two buttons: ‘Sustantivo masculino’ (Masculine noun) and ‘Sustantivo femenino’ (Feminine noun).
  • Your task is to choose the correct gender of each noun by clicking the corresponding button. For example, if you see “La botella” (The bottle), you would click ‘Sustantivo femenino’.

Rules:

  • You’ll have 10 seconds to answer each question.
  • There are 10 questions in total. Try to get as many correct as you can within the time limit!

An important tip:

  • Pay attention to the definite article (“El” for masculine, “La” for feminine) and the image, which can help you recognize the word’s gender.
